Best Ways to Reach Us
Preferred Contact Methods
The fastest and most reliable way to reach Houston Lumber is by email at info@houston-lumber.com. Email allows us to review your project details carefully, consult our inventory, and provide you with an accurate and thorough response. Most email inquiries receive a reply within one business day, and many are answered the same day they are received.
When you email us, including the following information will help us respond faster and more accurately: the type of lumber you are looking for (species, dimensions, grade), the approximate quantity in board feet, your intended application (framing, fencing, decking, architectural, furniture, etc.), your project location, and your timeline. If you have specific grading requirements or need material that matches a particular aesthetic, please mention that as well — the more detail you provide, the better we can serve you.
You can also use the contact form at the top of this page, which sends your message directly to our team. The form collects the key project details we need to begin working on your request, and it is the best option if you are not sure exactly what information to include — the form fields will guide you.
For customers who prefer face-to-face interaction, we welcome yard visits during business hours. You do not need an appointment to stop by, but we recommend emailing ahead if you have a specific project to discuss so that we can have the right team member available and relevant inventory staged for your review. Walk-ins are always welcome and our yard staff is happy to show you around, answer questions, and help you find the material you need.

Your Visit
What to Expect When You Visit
Whether you are a contractor scouting material for an upcoming project, a designer looking for unique character wood, or a homeowner curious about reclaimed lumber for the first time, we welcome your visit. Here is what to expect when you arrive at our Houston facility.
When you arrive at 121 Esplanade Blvd, head to our office, which is the first building you will see as you enter the property. A team member will greet you, ask about your project and needs, and then accompany you into the yard to look at available inventory. We keep our yard organized by species, dimensions, and grade so that you can easily compare options and find material that suits your project.
You are welcome to handle the lumber, inspect individual boards, and ask as many questions as you like. Our yard team has extensive knowledge of wood species, reclaimed lumber characteristics, and typical applications. They can help you estimate quantities, compare species for your application, and explain the differences between grades. If you are working from plans or specifications, bring them along — we are happy to review them and recommend material that meets your requirements.
If you find material you would like to purchase, we can process the order on-site and arrange for loading or delivery. For large orders or material that requires additional processing (custom dimensions, kiln drying, profiling), we will provide a quote and estimated timeline. We can also hold material for a limited period while you finalize project details.
Please wear closed-toe shoes when visiting the yard — this is an active processing facility and safety is our priority. We will provide a hard hat if you are entering areas beyond the main display yard. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Feel free to bring a tape measure, moisture meter, or any other tools you typically use to evaluate lumber — we encourage hands-on inspection.
